Progress Church believes in using Biblical principles for modern-day practical application. We believe:
There is one God, the creator, who exists eternally in unity as three equal persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father accomplishes His plan of salvation through both redemption and judgement.
Jesus became fully human while remaining fully God.
The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father through the Son and gives life throughout creation. Through the Holy Spirit’s indwelling, the Father and the Son are present to all believers.
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the written revelation of God’s character and saving purposes for humanity and for all creation.
That all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are brought about by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
In water baptism by immersion, and that all who repent should be baptized.
In the baptism of the Holy Spirit after a clean heart.
Jesus Christ is the head of the church.
The Proclamation of the Gospel, the discipleship of the believer, equipping the body for ministry, encouraging each other through fellowship and celebrating God through worship is a central practice of the church.
The Lord’s Supper symbolizes Christ’s body and blood, and our communion as believers.
